Japanese Head Spa is where serious scalp and hair care meets an exceptionally relaxing spa experience. Your session combines cleansing, scalp care, massage, conditioning, steam, and targeted treatments chosen around the condition of your hair and scalp.
Rather than giving everyone the same products and routine, we match your treatment to what your hair actually needs that day.
Scalp Check: Your experience begins with a look at your scalp and hair so your therapist can better understand dryness, oiliness, buildup, sensitivity, damage, and other visible concerns before treatment begins.
Deep Cleansing: Your hair and scalp are thoroughly cleansed to remove oil, sweat, styling products, and everyday buildup while preparing your hair for the treatments that follow.
Herbal Rinse + Scalp Massage: Warm water, scalp massage, and our head spa ritual create the part of the experience where most guests stop thinking about their hair altogether and simply relax.
Condition + Steam: Conditioning treatments are paired with gentle steam to help soften the hair, improve manageability, and give your scalp and hair time to absorb the treatment selected for you.
Massage Throughout: Head, scalp, neck, shoulders, and other areas are incorporated throughout the experience, turning what could have been a very elaborate shampoo into something unmistakably spa.
Every Japanese Head Spa shares the same relaxing core experience, but the products and treatment focus are selected according to your individual needs.
Balanced Refresh — Normal hair and scalp that simply need a fresh, healthy reset.
Scalp Reset — Oily scalp, buildup, styling residue, or hair that never quite feels clean.
Hydration Ritual — Dry scalp or hair that feels tight, rough, dull, or thirsty.
Sensitive Calm — Sensitive or easily irritated scalp, including guests concerned about fragrance.
Volume Lift — Fine or flat hair that loses volume quickly or becomes oily at the roots.
Repair + Smooth — Damaged, color-treated, chemically treated, frizzy, coarse, curly, or coily hair.

A few things people usually want to know before booking this service.
Our Japanese Head Spa combines scalp assessment, cleansing, warm rinses, massage, conditioning, steam, and hair treatment in a spa setting. The treatment focus and products are selected around what your scalp and hair appear to need rather than giving every guest the same routine.
Your therapist starts by looking at your scalp and hair, then moves through cleansing, rinsing, scalp care, massage, conditioning, steam, and the treatment selected for your hair type or concern. Head, scalp, neck, and shoulder massage are incorporated so the service feels like a spa treatment rather than a salon shampoo.
Your hair is thoroughly washed and treated during the service, so yes, it will be wet during the session. We include a light hair finish rather than a full salon blowout. Plan accordingly if you have somewhere immediately afterward that requires finished styling.
We provide a light hair finish to help you leave comfortably, but Japanese Head Spa is not a salon blowout service. If you need polished styling for an event, plan for your normal styling afterward.
Choose based on your hair and scalp rather than the treatment name. We currently match guests to options for balanced hair, buildup or oiliness, dryness, sensitivity, volume, and repair or smoothing. If you are not sure, use the Head Spa quiz or let your therapist help confirm the best match when you arrive.
Usually, but tell us about recent color or chemical processing so the treatment choice can take that into account. Our Repair + Smooth path is designed for hair that needs more conditioning and damage-conscious care. If your colorist gave you a waiting period or product restriction, follow that guidance first.
